There is a sweet spot for how full the lips should look. To put these amounts into some perspective, imagine that a teaspoon holds approximately 5mls of liquid, so, if you have 1ml of lip filler you will be getting about one fifth of what a teaspoon holds.
If it is your first time having a lip filler treatment, it can make sense to start with a smaller amount, so that you can get a feel for what a little bit more volume will look like. This can help you become comfortable with the treatment process and how your new lips look and feel.
