Fat-dissolving treatments target areas of fat that are difficult to get rid of through simple diet and exercise. Areas of fat on the stomach or double chin can be difficult to get rid of but with a course of fat-dissolving injections, we are able to visibly reduce these pockets of fat.
How does it work?
Injections of a solution containing sodium deoxycholate are done into the localised areas of fat. The solution will actually destroy the fat cells in this area and the body will naturally expel them through its lymphatic system. Depending on the size and location of the fat pockets typically 3-6 treatments are needed.

Yes, fat-dissolving injections are generally considered safe when administered by a qualified medical professional. However, as with any medical procedure, there are some risks involved. These risks can include:
- Bruising and swelling at the injection site
- Numbness or tingling in the area
- Allergic reaction to the injection
- Infection
- Scarring
- Irregular skin contours

Fat-dissolving injections can be used to treat stubborn fat deposits in various areas of the body, including:
- The chin and neck (double chin)
- The upper arms (bingo wings)
- The abdomen
- The flanks (love handles)
- The thighs
- The knees
- The buttocks
- The back
Body – 4-6 sessions usually needed.
Double chin/jowls – 2-3 sessions usually needed.
A treatment every 4 to 6 weeks until desired results achieved. Not able to have more than 6 treatment sessions.
- Immediately after treatment, there may be some redness, itching, stinging, warmth and minor swelling with slight tenderness. This can last between a few hours to a couple of days.
- Swelling and bruising are normal and can last for several days post treatment. The skin may feel tender to the touch.
- Avoid sun exposure or sunbeds for a week post treatment to reduce the chance of hyperpigmentation.
- Avoid high-temperature stimulation such as saunas, steams rooms, hot tubs, hot baths, and hot packs etc.
- Avoid tight clothes, vigorous exercise and take it easy after your treatment.
- It is important to drink plenty of water to help the body remove the excess waste. We recommend more than 2 litres a day.
- A healthy diet and light exercise should be maintained throughout the course of treatment.
