Cold Plasma treatment in London
Cold Plasma treatment utilises atmospheric nitrogen and oxygen to create a revolutionary new skin treatment. The treatment effectively targets some of the harder to treat skin conditions, such as rosacea and acne.
At Dr Kate Aesthetics we use the Dr Platon Cold Plasma device to achieve fantastic results for our patients who may want to just rejuvenate and revitalise their skin, or may require Cold Plasma therapy to treat difficult skin conditions.
The Dr Platon Cold Plasma device transforms the air between its tip and the patient’s skin into a highly charged gas, with unbound ions and free electrons, known as Cold Plasma.
This plasma is highly beneficial to the skin.
Cold Plasma treatment is a non-invasive and comfortable treatment which can be administered relatively quickly while producing brilliant results. Because the treatment is so gentle it can be used on younger patients who are experiencing hormonal acne. This treatment is mild enough to treat hormonal acne in children from age 12.

FAQs
The treatment is very comfortable and non invasive. We begin by cleansing the skin, then we use a gentle enzymatic peel to unblock pores and exfoliate the skin to prepare it for the Cold Plasma treatment. After the Cold Plasma treatment we hydrate and moisturise the skin and finish off by adding a sun protection cream.
Most people start to see results straight after their first treatment, with skin looking clearer and feeling more refreshed. To get the full results patients should have a course of between 6 to 8 treatments. Appointments can be either weekly or fortnightly.
It is important not to irritate your skin after this treatment, this includes not using harsh products such as retinols, AHAs or exfoliants. Make up shouldn’t be worn for 12 hours post treatment and the skin should be protected by a high factor sunscreen. It is also best to avoid high temperatures such as saunas, sun beds and steam rooms.
No, the treatment is very mild and won’t cause patients to need downtime after treatment. If you like to wear makeup you won’t be able to wear it for 12 hours after treatment, but there are no other reasons why this Cold Plasma Therapy should affect your other day to day commitments.
