LED skin treatments in London

Discover Dermalux® and transform the way you care for your skin forever

Light Emitting Diode (LED) Phototherapy is a non-invasive treatment that targets specific non-thermal light to energise cells which triggers a cascade of bio-stimulatory responses. It is scientifically proven for a wide range of indications including skin rejuvenation, acne and pigmentation wound healing, psoriasis, and pain relief. Our skin has the ability to absorb light energy and use it to stimulate or regulate essential cell processes. Skin cells that are energised function better and can renew up to 200% faster accelerating regeneration and repair.

LED phototherapy will boost collagen production, increase hydration, calm redness and irritation, and blitz blemish-causing bacteria. As the light triggers a whole cascade of skin-enhancing processes, the benefits continue even after the treatment has finished.

Well evidenced for its regenerative and healing benefits, Phototherapy does not transfer heat or create trauma making it particularly effective to treat problematic and inflammatory conditions. With one of the highest safety profiles, it is pain-free treatment without the downtime and suitable for all skin types.

LED Phototherapy is now recognised as an essential skin care treatment due to its versatility and role in the foundation of skin optimisation and good skin health.

Depending on the indication often an intensive course of 1-3 treatments a week for 8 to 12 sessions followed by maintenance treatments every 1-2 months.

Dermalux is a completely pain free relaxing treatment.

Dermalux® is heat free, chemical free and does not harm the skin. It has an excellent safety profile and is beneficial for all skin types without downtime.

After the first treatment, the skin is hydrated, plumper, radiant, and any irritation or redness is calmed

The effects of Dermalux LED treatment are instantaneous, however, as a natural stimulation process, the full extent of the results of the treatment will reveal itself over a period of time, sometimes up to 6 weeks after the course of the treatment has finished!

You will see visible results after just one treatment but a course of treatments is recommended to treat skin conditions such as aging, acne, rosacea or psoriasis. An intensive course of 12 treatments taken in close succession is recommended for optimum cell activation. Supercharge your skin for visible and lasting improvement. Once completed follow with maintenance treatments.

With LED Phototherapy the results are cumulative and an intensive 8 -12 week programme of Dermalux® sessions is highly recommended for a dramatic improvement in the appearance and health of the skin. Results can last up to 3-6 months following the intensive programme. Booster treatments are advised to maintain results.

In preparation for your LED Phototherapy treatment, all makeup and skin care products including sunscreen should be removed to allow absorption of beneficial light into the skin. For optimum results, exfoliation prior to treatment helps to remove dead skin cells which may reflect the light. For enhanced results a topical serum may be applied. It is not necessary to remove contact lenses during the LED treatment

Protective Eye Wear. Visible Red and Near Infrared are eye safe and will not cause any damage to the eye, even with deliberate exposure. However as the light is very bright, we recommend the use of the protective eye goggles provided, for your comfort. With Blue light or any treatment combination including the Blue light, we strongly recommend that the client goggles are worn for the duration of the treatment.

Following your LED Phototherapy treatment, apply the recommended skin care products which should include an SPF protection (daytime only). Your skin care consultant can give you guidance on suitability of your current skin care products during the consultation. However if LED Phototherapy has been used in conjunction with other aesthetic procedures, specific aftercare advice should be followed.

Make-up can be applied immediately following LED Phototherapy. However, we recommend the use of mineral based or non-comedogenic formulations that allow the skin to breathe.

Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration levels and aid the lymphatic system to eliminate toxins.

In the unlikely event that any adverse reaction occurs following treatment, please contact your skin care professional within 24 hours for advice.
